Meet the Staff- Denali

Who’s that witch? In true HausWitch fashion, as soon as we met Denali we knew she was a missing piece of our puzzle and luckily she felt the same way AND had the oddly specific resume to seal the deal! We may or may not have also bribed her with a giant plastic toad named Tiffany, but you can ask her about that yourself.
1. Name/Nickname:
Denali/Denoodle
2. What's your sun/moon/rising?
Taurus/Leo/Gemini
3. What brought you to HausWitch?
I was looking to make a change in my life late spring of 2022. My spiritual practice had fallen to the wayside and capitalism was dulling my sparkle in a major way. Naturally, I shopped about it. A friend and I stopped into Hauswitch (one of my Salem faves) and I see what were soon to be some of my favorite people! I asked about a hiring sign I’d seen in the window and that was that!
4. What's your "brand" of witchcraft?
As a teenager and still to this day I had this idea about myself I was always, “that girl over there”.  It used to come from a place of insecurity and isolation. Now it’s been revamped as an affirmation for self-confidence. Add in radical authenticity and personal style and you have a spell for magnetism!  Who’s that girl over there?? I don’t know but I want to!

5. What's your favorite ritual tool?
Probably my pipe. I have a super cute one that I reserve for rituals only, it has mushrooms on it! I like making smoke blends to use for meditation and spell work.

6. What's your favorite show to binge-watch?
Cartoons are my go-to for a binge, Daria is my all-time favorite I could watch her navigate high school a million times over. I believe we have the same spirit.

7. What's your favorite product in the shop?
Queendom of Heaven!! If I’ve ever rung you up and you had this candle in your treasure pile, you’ve probably heard about how much I love it! I always say it’s the Taurus candle.

8. Finish this sentence: On a full moon, we can find you…
with crystals (I recommend black tourmaline, rose quartz, and green aventurine) in my pocket looking for someone strange and unusual to talk to! I welcome full moon weirdos with open arms and open mind.
9.Who are your favorite fictional/historical/celebrity witches?
Oh, the Suspiria coven is sooooo iconic for using dance as ritual, and the outfits are amazing. The wonderful and whimsical Phoebe Buffay is also up there on my list as stated above, I love a weirdo! Despite all the tragedy in her life she continues to see the world through a magical lens. I think that’s really admirable. I have to include Baba Yaga because along with Daria, her and I share a soul connection.
